I was so anxious about this summer. Having four months off and no job lined up i was worried it would be dull and boring. Plus it was the first summer since year 11 that i wasn't in a relationship, so i had nobody to really spend the entire summer with. Luckily, a week before i finished for the summer i was offered an amazing job at Cadbury World! I was so chuffed because it would fill my time and allow me to finally earn some money!
Working at Cadbury World was possibly the best thing that could have happened to me. On top of gaining some life long skills like working with the public, thinking on my feet and building my confidence through the roof. However, the best thing about working at Cadbury's i made the most incredible friends, people who i could spend my days off with, made the busy days bearable and who made me feel like i was a part of a family.
My summer was so much better than i expected it to be. I got the chance to go visit my university friends in Essex, had a day drip to London to see The Lion King and had a night out in Liverpool. Also i had many many drunken nights out, i mean it's me so that was bound to happen.
This summer has always been great for pursuing my photography, having the opportunity to go on a photo shoot which was a great success. Despite working most of the summer i had a lot of time to work on my photography, blogging and beauty skills.
Aside from all the friends i made at work i was able to meet more people, building friendships which i hope will last. Going out of my way to meet up with people, building on relationship skills that i never would have had the confidence to do before.
I am sad that this summer has come to an end. Leaving Cadbury's was so difficult, i don't want to leave behind all my amazing friends. Knowing i am going to uni, going onto bigger and better things, it's still difficult to go. But i want to thank everyone who has made my summer so amazing. I had leaving drinks last night and although i was really drunk i really enjoyed myself. Also it felt amazing knowing that all those people made the effort to come out for me. A year ago i wouldn't have had a handful of people there to say goodbye and now i had so many people willing to spend their time on me. It's so heart warming.
So now that my amazing summer has come to an end, i am going back to Nottingham. Back to the full student life, studying and living off supermarket brand foods. Away from my home comforts.
I am excited. First year went so fast and i can't wait to get back to living in Nottingham and being around my university friends. I feel like an adult again, going food shopping, paying rent on my own place and being responsible for my own actions again (which I've not had to do for four months). I am so determined to do the best i can, putting everything into this year.
I can't wait to make some more memories this year with everyone i spent last year with and hopefully more.I am ecstatic to move into my house with my flatmates and spend more time with my course bestie alex (assandsass.weebly.com).
I really hope that all my plans for my blog, photography and other projects come together, building on my future.
BRING ON SECOND YEAR!
