I try my best to be diverse in what i write on my blog but one thing i get asked to write about more than anything is makeup. I wouldn't say i am an expert in make-up but it really is a passion of mine. Buying, using and talking about make-up is really enjoyable for me. Also i know it hasn't been that long since i last did a favourites blog but i have acquired a few amount of new makeup recently that i am enjoying so here are my favourites:
First of all is MAC-Lip Pencil in REDD. Let's face it a favourites wouldn't be complete without a MAC product... or two. This lip pencil is amazing, as you can tell by the name it is a red liner. The pencil is very sturdy and works wonders when trying to get the perfect shape on your lips. Some liners tend to create a bubble like look around the outside of the lip which can be hard to cover up, this liner is great as it comes out very clear and the pencil allows you to shade in the rest of the lip without it looking too coloured in. This liner is quite pricey at £12 but as it is red i thought i would slash out because red lips are something i wear a lot and having the perfect shaped lips for me is everything. I got this from MAC in Nottingham city centre.
The next product is Burberry Lip Stick- Military Red No.109. I was sent this as a free sample to test out from Burberry and it is incredible. I love the colour (red) and how easily applied it is. The lipstick stays on for hours and doesn't do that weird clumpy thing you usually get from lipsticks in the inners of your mouth. You don't have to apply the lipstick multiple times to get the vibrant red you want, one swift movement and it's on. I love this lipstick and will be purchasing the full product when my tester is used up (won't be long).
Another lipstick is the Sleek Lip Stick-MYSTIC 783. This is a pink tinted purple lipstick which is great for that dark lipstick look without making yourself look like a goth. I love the packaging of this product as it is in a small matte black case which is great for throwing in the bottom of your handbag. As for the actual lipstick it stays on all day, only thing is it only stays on for a few hours and if you're out all day you may need to reapply, which let's face it isn't the hardest task. I got this from Superdrug.
Now for my favourite lipstick that i have purchased in a while.....MAC Lip Stick- DIVA. THIS IS LIFE. This lipstick is the most amazing thing created on this earth, apart from One Direction and Salted Caramel ice cream. The lipstick is so good. (Ok Leah, talk about the lipstick please.) It is a dark red colour and looks incredible with dark smokey eyes or simple eyes, it looks really good on. I haven't found a matching lip liner for the lipstick that isn't from MAC itself so i think i may have to purchase that but it stays on ALL day honestly, it doesn't crumble in the middle of my mouth. I really really love this lipstick and wish i could wear it everyday but i'm saving it for special occasions. MAC in Nottingham city centre obvs.
Going away from lip products now. Not my favourite out of all my mascaras but a mascara which i recently repurchased and have been using lately is the Natural Collection- Mascara Black. This mascara is great for blondes like me who need a dark mascara to cover my blonde lashes. This mascara has a basic brush but is really easy to apply. I find the basic brush better than fancy shaped ones as it allows me to get to all the areas of my lashes to make them black and cover the blondness. I was fed up of paying lots of mascaras that clumped my lashes or dried up after a few weeks so i purchased this for £2 and it does the job so why not. Boots.
A eye product that i have been loving lately is the Collection- Eyeshadow Pencil Vintage Blush 3. It is a glittery pinky colour that is great for just putting on the lid for a simple make-up look or as part of a shimmery smokey eye. The product is like a chubby stick but for the eye and i love that because i can shove it over my eye lid and then blend it into the crease. Collection have a range of other colours which i may be purchasing very soon but this was my favourite when i saw them in the shop. Superdrug.
Another eye product love of mine is Bourjois- Eyeshadow 92. This is a small individual pot product in a dark grey with silver glitter in it. I think this looks amazing as a part of a smokey eye or as a dark eye look (put on the lid and blend into the crease). This product is easily applied and when ever i wear this it stays on for hours without doing that weird line thing, where the shadow rubs off on the lines of your lids from where your eyes are open. This is a great product to have in your makeup bag. Boots.
My last eye product is the B- Eye Shimmer Golden Sand which is a small pot of gold shimmer shadow cream. This is a lovely product to just put on the lash and blend it in or to have on top of a smokey look. Because the product is a cream it is so easy to apply and you can even just apply it using your finger. This is a such a great product to keep in your make-up collection as it can easily glamourise your face for when you're in a rush to get ready to go out or if you don't have much energy. I love this product so much. Deffo going to be repurchasing when i run out. Boots.
A bronzer that i have recently being loving is Beauty UK- Baked Bronzer Goddess. This bronzer is very shimmery and doesn't come out overly dark on the cheek which i love as i can give myself a light contour. The product is so easily applied and the slight shimmer is great as an all round product. I can use it as a contour product on my cheek bones or on a larger powder brush i can put it all over my face for a bronzed look. I really love the shine in this product as i don't have to put on a highlighter or a blush with the product as it works as a multiple product. Superdrug.
My favourite lash product is the Eylure- Individual Lashes. The individual lashes are very easy to apply and don't split when you take them out the packaging. The lashes come in small, medium and large lash shape so i can make my lashes just look long for an everyday makeup look or for a full lash effect on a night out/ special occasion. Boots.
Finally, what would a favourites be without my all time favourite foundation.....Rimmel - Wake Me Up True Ivory. I do apologise for how many times i talk about this product but honestly i love it so much. The product doesn't make my face book shiny, it has the most amazing coverage and stays on for hours on end. Honestly, the best foundation over every found for my skin and i have tried so many foundations, low and high end. boots.
Hope you enjoyed reading or hope it has helped in any way. I also apologise for the photo as i know some of the products look skanky but its because i love the products so much that I've used them to high heaven.
