First of all you need to pre-heat your oven to gas mark 6.
Then cream the 5o/z butter and 5 o/z of plain sugar together. Once a creamy texture add two eggs and 7 o/z of self raising flour. Once all the ingredients are mixed together add a dash of milk (about two table spoons). The siv in 3 o/z of coco powder. Once this has been added, add the mixture to a lined baking tin and put in the oven for around 20 mins. (The ale will be done when you can stick a knife into it and the knife comes out clean).

For decoration, Melt 300g of milk chocolate and add cornflakes to the liquid until covered. (Don't add too much cornflake as you want the milk chocolate to harden around the cornflakes thickly). Then spread the mixture over the cooled cake. I added a packet of mini eggs and chocolate bunnies to the top for decoration. However, you can use things such as marshmallows, chocolate buttons, anything you want. I used mini eggs as they create an Eastery nest effect. |
