For Penguins 80th Anniversary they have started selling short stories and poetry books from the best and most loved writters of all time. Now these books are once in a lifetime and are only 80p per book. I think this is a great idea and an amazing way to read words from the greats. I picked up three poetry books and i know i will be going back for more as they are so cute and for only 80p i feel they are a great addition to my book collection. Work from Emily Bronte, Wilfred Owen, Leonardo Di Vinci and many more are a part of this great collection which you should check out in your nearest Waterstones. A great way to read classics quickly and fall back in love with reading.
Also for those who had to read 'To Kill a Mockingbird' in school, for those who fell in love with it like i did...Then you are in for a real treat. Waterstone's have released a special 50th anniversary hardback copy of the book which is stunningly beautiful. I am a huge fan of this book and already own two copies, one which i read it for the first time, the second with all m school notes, yet i still sent the £15 on this book because i really wanted a hardback of the classic which made me love reading. Also when you buy the copy you can pre-order the sequel which is coming out very soon, which i am overly excited for seen as nobody ever thought a sequel was on the books. SORRY!, unintentional pun there.
For those who are reading it thinking i have never read it, then go buy it. The paper version is about £7 and i really recommend reading it. It isn't the type of book i would ever pick up and if it wasn't for school i probably never would have read it but it is so amazing, brilliant and thought provoking that going through life without reading it would be a huge waste. Trust me here.
So there is the two purchases that i thought everyone should know about. Especially you reading addicts.
Much Love and Happy reading.
