I thought that my second term at University would be the same as the first. However, it is better. The second term unlike the first starts with everyone moving back after christmas where you know who you are living with, you know the University and how your course works. What i've found out is that nights out seem to be better now i am into the second term. I am going out with my flatmates, their friends and my course friends. I feel like i am officially a student, last term i just felt like a child who was on a school trip to a residential. I feel like i belong here, i belong at University. Nottingham feels like a second home to me, i like living here and love the people i am living with. Don't get me wrong i do miss home and would love to have my parents here, have free food and my double bed but i am certainly comfortable at University. Second term is where the stress has appeared. This is the term where all my assignments are due in, coursework has to be done and revision for the deadly exams start. The term if full of work, stress and Harvard referencing myself into a work coma. The only thing keeping me going through all of this is the knowledge that i only have another two years of this to get through and a year teaching course in Birmingham. The second term for me has been a huge one as i have put the deposit on the house i will be living in next year with my 7 uni friends. A huge thing for me, finally getting my own property. The second term overall is better because i feel more comfortable and confident living away from home and feel like a completely new person. I am so excited for the next two years of Uni with my amazing friends. |
