Seen as summer is coming up i thought i would do a tutorial blog post on how i do my day to day summer makeup. I do change up my makeup quite a lot but this is what i generally go for when it is hot. Firstly, i use Rimmel London Fix &Perfect primer on my face. Then for all my blemishes and spots i use a concealer stick (any generic brand will do). I find that liquid concealer on my spots doesn't stay on very long when it is hot so i tend to use a stick for a longer effect. However, i do use liquid concealer under my eyes to cover the dark circles. For my foundation i use Rimmel Wake Me Up Anti-Fatigue foundation in IVORY. This has always been my go-to foundation and it is amazing especially in summer as i feel i don't need to apply loads to my face which is great as cake foundation is a nightmare in summer. Plus is stays on my face all day.
For my setting powder i use Rimmel Stay Matte, This again is great as i only need to apply a little bit for it to work. For filling in my brows i use Vital Radiance brow kit, i find that most kits have shades too dark or light for my brows and this kit has the perfect colour for me and using my Barry M brow brush i find it so easy to apply and fill my brows without them looking fake. Powders are so much better than pencils as they just darken the natural brows you have and fill in spaces making the brows look bigger, thicker and generally nicer. Blush i use Baked Blush by Beauty UK as it gives a subtle pink cheek and i don't tend to contour unless its a night out or a meal and i don't usually bronze my face too much but i do use Rimmels Natural Bronzer in my T section and cheekbones for a tanned effect. For my eyes i use the Collection shadow stick in Vintage Blush 3 all over my eyes and blend it in using a standard eye brush. For liner i use the Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner in black, for summer i just do a line and floc on my lid i don't go under the eye of in the water-line as i think it is too much for a summer look. I think a simple line keeps it simple for summer, making the look as natural as possible. Then for mascara i use the Clinque High Impact Mascara, I love this mascara as it doesn't clump, makes my lashes look naturally long and so easy to remove at the end of a long day.
Finally for lips i usually go for a pink, lately i have been using shades such as: MAC speak louder, Tanya Burr's lipgloss in Smile, Dream, Sparkle, Colour Sensation lip liner in 140 intense pink and Natural Collections Pink Orchid.
