I thought seen as it is getting colder and I've recently brought new items of clothing, i thought i would do a look book of my favourite outfits for this time of year. My first outfit of choice is My grey turtle neck jumper from New Look. The jumper was £10 and came in a range of colours, it is thick and very cosy, it also sits nice around my neck keeping me warm but not making me feel uncomfortable. The jumper being grey it can be used in a range of different coloured outfits, my favourite way to wear it is with my baby pink blazer boyfriend coat from Boohoo £25. The coat is slightly oversized for me which makes it perfect to wear with jumpers and layers of clothing. I enjoy this coat because it keeps me warm and adds a bit of colour to my winter outfits which normally consist of greys and blacks. I wore skinny high waisted jeans from debenhams £17 which stook to the casualness of my outfit. In terms of jewellery i wore a long pink and gold necklace from prim ark £3. I wore a long necklace because the jumper is turtle neck i had too much within my neck area so a long necklace draws away from the busy neck area and draw attention further down. The necklace matches the pink of my coat and adds a bit of texture and gold to the outfit. This outfit is great for a walk in the park, lunch dates and day trips outside. |
My next winter outfit is an outfit which i wear quite frequently especially to go shopping and meeting up with my girl friends. Firstly, i'm wearing a long sleeve polka dot shirt from New Look on Asos for £15. The shirt is very comfortable and is also great for wearing underneath jumpers for a cute collar. I styled the shirt with my baby pink boyfriend jacket as i think the polka dot and the pink look cute together. The coat as I've said before is thick and very cosy to wear so the layering of the long sleeve shirt and coat allows me to be very warm with only two layers. Under the collar i put a jewelled navy blue necklace, Peacocks £5, to add a contrasting colour to the outfit, the necklace only peers through the shirt so the colour is subtle to the outfit and compliments the shirt. Once again i wore skinny black jeans to make the outfit casual but they can be worn with a slim line skirt and tights or plain jeans, the shirt and coat are easily transferred to different outfit styles. I went with black jeans as i find them very comfy and casual. For shoes i wore black buckle shoes from Ebay £12, with pink frilly socks prim ark £3. I think they make the outfit look classy and modern but the pink matches well with the coat and personally i think it makes the outfit tie together nicely. |
My next outfit is one which i would wear shopping or to visit family. It is yet again another casual outfit but as most of us do, we wear casual outfits during winter for comfort, practicality and warmth. I am wearing a V necked peach jumper from Dorothy Perkins £15. It is very comfy and as a neutral colour it is easily styled. The jumper has long sleeves which keep you warm and allows it to be layer with jackets and coats. My scarf is a red and grey tartan scarf from Primark £5, i also have it in white and red which would also work with this outfit, also Primark. The scarf is very big and very thick which is perfect for Winter as when put on it overs your neck and keeps you very warm, it is the perfect winter purchase. I am also wearing a bowler hat in black, Primark £5, which doesn't keep my head warm or the normal purpose of a hat but i think it is a great item to help style the outfit and a great outfit extra which can be added to any outfit and would look great. I wore the outfit again with black jeans but i often wear the outfit with denim jeans and skater skirts and tights with boots. |
To show the flexibility of this jumper i changed the scarf to a baby blue scarf, Debenhams £17 and added a pearl necklace Primark £3. The scarf is a beautiful colour and can be wrapped twice around the neck to keep you warm or wrapped once serves as a great accessory. The jumper can be worn with darker and light colours. The V neck on the jumper allows for necklaces to be added to expose and highlight the neck area. |
My final outfit is something i enjoy wearing to lectures and i think this outfit is great for teenagers as it had more patterns and more fun attached to it. Firstly, i am wearing a 'YOU CANT SIT WITH US' tee from Ebay £10. I love this top as it is a Mean Girls quote which is one of my favourite films, the film is also seen by pretty much all teenage girls making it fun. The top is also transferable to lots of different outfits and is very comfy. I am wearing it with a purple patterned A-Line skirt from New Look £14.99. The skirt is very comfy and shits well on me, it doesn't make me feel insecure when wearing it as t covers the my stomach area. The jacket is a basic Denim jacket which i have had for many many years, they are pretty much available in any clothes store. The denim jacket makes the outfit look more casual and ties the outfit together. As it is winter i put on my tartan scarf as it is thick and long keeping my neck area warm and the clashing patterns make the outfit look more funky and fun. As the outfit is for younger kids and for lectures and casual outings i felt a bag was necessary. I picked this backpack from Primark £12 as it is really big so you can fit all your stuff inside, i picked it in black as it is my most worn colour and will be transferable to different outfits. |
